Two ways we work with businesses

The split above is not a marketing structure. It is the difference between work that never finishes and work that does, and the two are bought, scoped, and billed differently.

Managed services are ongoing. Monitoring, help desk, patching, security, backup, and cloud administration run continuously for a flat monthly fee, and the point of them is that fewer things break rather than that breakages get fixed faster. There is no end date and no per-ticket charge. If you have no internal IT, or one person quietly carrying it on top of another job, this is the part that changes your week.

Project and engineering services have a defined beginning and end. A network rebuild, a cabling installation, an office move, a migration, a security assessment, a piece of custom software. These are scoped against your actual environment, quoted before anything starts, and priced separately from any monthly agreement. You do not need to be a managed client to hire us for one, and plenty of the project work we do is for businesses whose day-to-day IT is handled by someone else entirely.

Most businesses we work with end up using both, and the two feed each other. A project usually surfaces what actually needs managing, and a managed relationship surfaces the projects worth doing. Neither one requires you to have decided about the other today.

Which of these do you actually need?

Nobody handles IT and things keep breaking. Managed IT services. You are currently paying for this in staff time and downtime rather than in invoices, which makes the cost invisible rather than absent. This is the most common place businesses start.

You have someone doing IT and they are underwater. Co-managed IT. The person who already knows your business is worth more than an outside provider learning it from scratch, so we take the monitoring, patching, security tooling, and after-hours weight and leave them the work only they can do. Nobody gets replaced.

You have one specific job in front of you. Project services. Moving offices, wiring a new space, replacing a firewall, migrating to Microsoft 365, standing up Wi-Fi that reaches the whole warehouse. Scoped and quoted on its own terms.

Something specific is worrying you. Usually security, compliance, or a system nobody understands anymore. That is an assessment. You get a written picture of what you are running and where the real risks are, and you own that document whether or not you hire us for anything afterward.

You genuinely do not know. That is a normal answer and it is most people. A conversation about what is actually going wrong is free and short, and we would rather tell you that you do not need us yet than sell you a plan you will resent in four months.

Where we deliver these services

New Jersey is home. We support businesses from Bergen and Morris down through Middlesex and Union into Camden, Gloucester, and the shore counties, and we also work across the New York, Philadelphia, Boston, Pittsburgh, and West Palm Beach metros where we have staff.

Managed services are remote-first, and that is not a limitation dressed up as a feature. Monitoring, patching, security response, and most help desk work resolve faster remotely than they would with someone driving to you. When something genuinely needs hands in the building, we schedule a visit and quote it before anyone is dispatched.

Project work is different. Cabling, network installations, hardware refreshes, and office moves are physical by definition, and geography matters more for those. If you are outside our usual radius, say so early and we will tell you honestly whether we are the right people for it rather than quoting a job we would struggle to staff.

Common questions about our IT services

Can we hire you for one project without signing up for managed IT?

Yes. Project work stands on its own: a cabling job, a network rebuild, an office move, a Microsoft 365 migration, or a security assessment gets scoped and quoted by itself, with no monthly agreement attached and no requirement to become a managed client afterward. A good share of our project work is for businesses whose day-to-day IT is handled by someone else.

The same is true in the other direction. Managed IT is a plan you pick a tier of, and the security baseline is included in every one of them rather than sold up. Nothing on this page is a bundle you have to take whole, and we would rather solve the thing actually bothering you than build a package around it.
