Project Overview

For this high-volume car wash, we deployed a comprehensive network and surveillance solution. We installed two Wi-Fi 6 access points—one inside the office/pay station and one outdoors to cover the wash bays—and upgraded existing cameras while adding new ones in key areas (entry, exit, payment kiosk, and equipment rooms). All devices were wired back to new PoE switches in a clean, reorganized network closet.

Key Challenges

• Harsh Environment: Moisture, high humidity, and chemical exposure in the wash bays required IP-rated outdoor APs and cameras with protective housings.

• Coverage Gaps: The original Wi-Fi and camera footprint left dead-spots in the tunnel and equipment areas, so we had to carefully position the two new APs and re-angle cameras for full 360° visibility.

• Cabling Logistics: Routing CAT6 through tight conduit runs around water lines and metal structures meant precise planning and weatherproof terminations to maintain signal integrity.

Results

• Seamless Connectivity: Technicians and POS terminals now enjoy uninterrupted Wi-Fi across the entire facility, both indoors and out.

• Enhanced Surveillance: With updated and additional cameras, the client now has 24/7 high-definition coverage of all wash stages and secure areas—improving loss prevention and operational oversight.

• Clean, Scalable Infrastructure: The newly organized network closet and PoE switch fabric support future growth—whether adding more APs, cameras, or IoT sensors.
